Meta is releasing a few workflow that template with no activity in the past 12 months will be moved to archive, and if user do not restore the template within 29 days, the template will be deleted permanately. Sleekflow shuold add a new option to cater this use case for user to restore template on SleekFlow template manager coz not user has access to the company FBBM.

Automatic archival for unused WhatsApp message templates

Meta: To help you keep your template library clean, we are enabling automatic archival for message templates across all WhatsApp Business Accounts as of May 4, 2026. Archived templates that are not restored will be permanently deleted after 28 days.

How it works:

Templates with no activity (no sends, edits, or appeals) for 12 months or more will be automatically archived.

Archived templates can be restored within 28 days. After 28 days, they are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Active templates are never affected. Only templates that have been inactive for 12+ months are eligible.

You can also query, archive, and unarchive templates via the WhatsApp Business Management API.
